Description Each green onyx stone carved bowl will have its own unique color and characteristics, the bowls are green with some having lighter brown banding seen throughout while other bowls will have heavier touches of brown. Each bowl measures 4 inches in diameter. Onyx is a type of chalcedony which in itself is a type of microcrystalline quartz. Onyx stone is often associated with being a dark black gemstone however it is also commonly found with layers of white banding but can be found in other colors such as green, red and brown. Onyx has a long history of being a great stone for carving and for its uses in jewelry.
